After a week since the release of the new Valorant Icebox map, Riot has decided not to favor it in the unranked game mode map pool. This change was made by Riot to allow players to take advantage of the newly introduced map as well as to uncover any potential bugs that might exist there. Today, Riot confirmed that the matchmaking algorithm will no longer favor Icebox in any game mode. “Now that many players have been able to play Icebox since its launch, map selection rates in Unrated, Deathmatch modes and Spike Rush will no longer favor Icebox, ”the developers said. “This will help us prepare for Icebox to join Competitive mode on October 27th.” Read more –
