Miles Morales actor Nadji Jeter discovered he was starring in an official spin-off at the launch party for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2018, and in an interview with Game Informer, the actor spoke about bringing to life to Miles Morales in the upcoming PS5 game, adding that he first heard of playing a starring role during the launch of Insomniac’s first Spider-Man game. “Bryan [Intihar], who was our creative director for [Marvel’s Spider-Man], pulled me aside and he said, ‘Hey man, how do you feel about you know, having your own game and making Miles his own thing? Jeter was understandably excited to take on the role of Morales in an entirely new title. “I was like … ‘I’m ready!’ But I had to take care of a few things on the side, so I said, ‘Yeah, I’m ready man, let’s go, I’ll let you know when it’s all set in stone and ready to go. Jeter then consulted with Spider-Man voice actor Yuri Lowenthal for some advice on portraying Spider-Man in the game and how many sessions it takes for the role. “Yuri must have taught me how to swing in the booth because you know Miles didn’t swing in the first game,” Jeter previously portrayed Miles Morales on the Disney XD Spider-Man TV show, as well as in Marvel. Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a PS5 launch game, and will arrive on November 12 in the US. A new Crimson Cowl costume was recently revealed for the game.
