Rapper Travis Scott dominated Fortnite earlier this year with an in-game gig, now he’s bleeding into a bigger pool of games as PlayStation’s latest strategic creative partner. As revealed in the last PlayStation blog post, Eric Lempel, senior vice president of global PlayStation marketing, revealed his collaboration with Scott. “Through our shared passion for play and creativity, we plan to collaborate with Travis and his Cactus Jack brand to produce innovative projects that we hope will delight our collective fans.” The PlayStation team say they chose Scott because he is “constantly surprising” and “incredibly innovative”, which they are looking for when they embark on a new generation of games. The rapper has a long history with PlayStation as a fan, which makes the collaboration exciting for Sony as they progress at full speed. The performer also shared a few words about the collaboration, saying, “I can’t wait to present everything Cactus Jack has worked on with Sony and the PlayStation team.
