PUBG Unban – PUBG Mobile Might Be Returning To India Soon

In what may be great news for Indian PUBG Mobile fans, a job posting on PUBG Corp’s LinkedIn profile suggests the company may consider resuming operations in India after its ban. To the uninitiated, the 100-player Battle Royale game was banned by the Indian government in August 2020 along with 117 other Chinese apps amid growing tensions between the two countries over the protection of user privacy. The job posting on their LinkedIn was posted on October 19 and is for a “Director of Corporate Development – India”. In the job description, one of the responsibilities required is to “Support the PUBG India setup process with guidance from HQ (i.e. Krafton Inc.)” which directly alludes to the company looking to return to India in the near future. India has been by far the biggest market for PUBG Mobile, and it came as no surprise when the sudden ban on the app from the Indian App Store resulted in a huge drop in the market value of the battle royale.

While it’s still not clear if it worked, it looks like a new version of the game in India may be on the horizon.
