Ghost of Tsushima was an incredibly heartbreaking samurai tale that PlayStation 4 players fell in love with. Now, a new experience arrives with Legends, bringing with it exciting new content and ways to become one with the ways of the ghost. Legends is the first major content for the Sucker Punch tale and it comes with a new game + and several memorable co-op experiences. One of the newer features going on is raiding and this addition is ruthless, detailed, and offers the perfect chance to troll your comrade. We sat down with Ghost of Tsushima Creative Director Nate Fox alongside senior designer Darren Bridges to talk a little more about the Legends update, but that’s when the topic of raids arises that we realize. how fun this addition can be. Like many other cooperative games that offer a raid feature, there will be challenges to overcome. Intricate puzzles, specific mechanics, and a lingering demand for teamwork will all be readily available. Like many raids, teamwork is essential. This is not a run and slash cooperative mission, it is a long experience that requires communication, dedication and expert use of skills. “The raid is where we turn the dial up to 11,” Bridges tells us. “You have to come to the raid with a team of four players, you have to have four players to complete it. The players have to work together, this is not an option. When you are in the raid, you will have to coordinate very carefully. can’t all go and do your own thing, you have to work together as a team. “Along with additional mechanics such as complicated puzzles, this teamwork will be crucial, especially when it comes to modifying modifiers that increase the level of the challenge. If a team of four isn’t coordinated, the overall raid can be a complete disaster. “This raid is designed to really test you in every way.” When participating in the different cooperative experiences in Legends, including the raid, players will take on different roles, allowing for a more personalized experience. It also allows players to goof up, crack down, or just find a new way to feel what Tsushima is meant to offer. When I speak with Bridges and Fox, I joke that I’m always the kind of “wild card” in raids, especially in games like Destiny 2, with the way I like to play with my team. Pushing them off the cliffs, moving on their faces; I completely agree. When discussing the different ways a raid can go wrong in hilarious ways, the lead designer laughs and says that there are certainly opportunities for players to troll each other in an otherwise very serious case. “With great power comes great responsibility,” Bridges jokes. “We knew the moment we said to our players ‘Look, this requires everyone to work together,’ it just means someone has more freedom to spoil their friends. With the raid, we are putting the life of everyone in your hands, everyone in your hands, so don’t go in with someone you don’t trust. “Fox jokingly adds,” You taught me this lesson many times, Darren. ” Whether you’re playing to be the best of the best or just using the raid as a good chance to bond with friends, this is just one of the many features that make Ghost of Tsushima: Legends an amazing addition to an already phenomenal experience.
