Destiny 2: Beyond Light Brings Nerfs For Falling Guillotine, Ruinous Effigy, And More

The Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion is almost here and a ton of changes are underway in the Bungie shooter to make room. From arched content to new stories, there’s a lot of upheaval happening soon and unfortunately that means nerves. The Falling Guillotine sword is among the weapons that will be nerfed with a new update coming soon. Here’s what you need to know about what’s nerf in Destiny 2. Mountaintop, Falling Guillotine, and Ruinous Effigy are getting that nerf action and as a huge fan of the super powerful sword I’m a little sad. But changes, they’re needed, so here’s what you need to know about how these three weapons are going downhill, and which are only going through a few small evolutionary changes: Mountaintop We’ve had a ton of feedback that Mountaintop is feeling. a little above in Crucible modes. This Pinnacle weapon has had plenty of time to shine, so we’re taking it down a notch. Specific Pain Points: A one-hit body hit with infinite range. Quick and easy cleaning of injured Guardians, even in corners. Deals high splash damage, rewarding players for their inaccuracy. Perfect precision in the air allows Airborne Guardians to rain death, and Guardians on the ground can do little to react. Here are the changes intended to address these points: Reduced splash damage by 33%, increased impact damage so that total damage is 5% lower than it was before. Reduced the projectile speed multiplier of the Micro-Missile Perk from 1.4 to 1.2. (that is, now 20% faster than other breech grenade launchers instead of 40%). Reduced accuracy in the air. Now has a significant projectile error in flight (around 7 degrees without the Icarus Grip mod, significantly less with). Guillotine Fall Reduced heavy attack damage by roughly 24% to align with other swords. Note: The falling guillotine will continue to be slightly above average, but not to the extent that it is now. MIDA Multi-Tool and MIDA Mini-Tool Mini-Tool MIDA Moved the trait “Mida Synergy” to the intrinsic, similar to the operation of the (Baroque) version Added the following advantages: NOTE: There is a problem with the head- This weapon’s workmanship prevents it from being upgraded. This will be fixed in a later update. NOTE: The gunsmith will begin selling a version of this weapon on November 10 without an infusion cap. Sturm and Drang Drang Moved the trait “Together Forever” to the intrinsic, similar to how the (Baroque) version works Added the following benefits: Precise rounds Moving target NOTE: There is a problem with the masterpiece of this weapon that prevents it updated. This problem will be fixed in a future update. NOTE: The gunsmith will begin selling a version of this weapon on November 10 without an infusion cap. Ruinous Effigy Transmutation Spheres Reduced melee air attack damage by 25% Significantly reduced drain effect damage on enemy fighters Arbalest No longer hits shields multiple times, but its effectiveness against protected targets has been increased. Jade Rabbit armor piercing cartridges have been replaced with high caliber cartridges. This fixes an issue that could prevent the Exotic Perk from triggering.
