2K Responds To NBA 2K21 Unskippable In-Game Ad Backlash

Earlier this week, 2K was in the hot seat again when NBA 2K21 players noticed non-skippable ads preventing them from making changes in the lobby. Now the publisher is responding to the negative comments saying the location was unintentional and will be “fixed” soon. 2K took to the game’s official Twitter account to thank players for their feedback with the following statement attached: “As many know, in recent years, ads have been integrated into 2KTV segments. Yesterday’s 2KTV announcements impacted our players’ experience. not the intention, as these commercials are not intended to be shown as part of the pre-game introduction. This issue will be fixed in future episodes, thanks for your continued feedback. “This isn’t the first time that non-skippable ads have been a problem in the NBA 2K series and the fact that it happens again is what has upset many gamers. Interference with in-game selection also caused frustration, in addition to the notion of advertising a game that retail for $ 60; $ 70 if you buy for the next generation. It looks like 2K doesn’t plan to remove ads completely, just move them around.
